Lockdown music video collaboration

15 artists made up of pianists, music teachers, composers and a piano tuner all came together (apart) in support of piano music during lockdown 2020. Some pianos are screaming for a tuning, but this just shows what great people can do together!

Kawai K500 ATX3 hybrid upright piano
Well played Derek. Regards Brandon.
Beautiful playing. Is this piano acceptable for playing and practicing advanced classical pieces like Chopin Ballades etc.? Is the action responsive enough? I'd appreciate your opinion. Compared to acoustic that is. Thanks.
That Petrof piano sounds very good!
Incredible sound and incredible playing!
Звук волшебный!!!Но я эту музыку не сыграю никогда.
Beautifull petrof...
apples and pears. but nice to see.
Great!
The attention to detail is insane. They even put that red fabric on the short lid holder (or whatever the stick that keeps the lid up is called lol) for extra protection
Did you learn that at Berlitz in H? 😀 PK
Now that's a really decent sounding upright piano. I'd be happy to buy such an instrument.
i think the digitals have reached a point where they can be compared to an upright or a small baby grand. The Sk sounds way richer than the digital, when you played those bass notes there was no comparison at all with the digital.
How much does it cost?
That's Dope! 😄
Beautiful instrument and playing! What is the second piece called?
Great recording, congratulations!
Lovely...who are these artists?
I played a CA99 and yes was awesome...very clean and clear...however, for me, a high quality acoustic will always be the best...authenticity excellence...
Hello. I am planning to buy a grand piano, but I am currently thinking about between the new Kawai gl-10 and ge-20 used. The status of the ge-20 is class a. The price difference between the two models is not significant either. Can you tell me the difference between the two models and which one should I buy? Thank you.
Hungarian Dance with 4 Hands,. I can buy a piano but does it come with a talented Pianist Attached!!? 🤔 K-300 is Great with that pianissimo it was marvelous but I'm Fanatic for Charles R. Walter Pianos
fancy fingers
Yeah - is this a GL-30 or a GL-10?
Back in the mid 1980's i was working in a Bechstein dealership Also we carried Feurich (Gunzenhausen) and Schimmel. Does this ever take me back to when I was a mere 31 years old!
A fine pianist playing a fine piano!
FAZIOLI FTW!
Hello, is this an old Petrof model? Which year is this? Cause the latest one they are selling right now sounds much warmer than your piano.
Is this Ca99 suitable for classical music diploma exam level?? Or not enough?
i would be 99% sure it is, with the plus of allowing you to practice anytime of the day, so more practicing... But i would recommend practicing at least once on a similar piano to the one of the exam. A big difference i notice in acoustic, being very used to digitals, is the fixed loud volume and increased dynamic range. At home I tend to play low volume and everytime i try an acoustic im intimidated by its loudness, but that uncompromising loudness ofters more choice of dynamics approach, specially playing much softer and with less pedal than i tend to do on digital.
@@sonicboyPT yes it has quite sense what you are saying about the use of volume. I just was asking about the action of the CA 99 is suitable to prepare the diploma of classical music. thanks for your reply 👍
This is an excellent video. Astonished to hear these two together in one review. Very rare .
What a pure joy to listen to the excellence of the pianist and the fabulous sound of that piano.
Beautiful Francois, beautiful 🙏 all those years practising on Stella Rd sure paid off ;)
What a lovely instrument :-)
🎹🤏😍
Thanks a lot, this helped so much in our decision making :-)
Beautiful playing, thank you for the demonstration! If I might ask, do you think the CA79 is justified in being twice the price of the CN39? I haven't had a chance to try either due to lockdown, I realise the CA79 has the wooden keys, touchscreen, and a lot more amplifier welly (50W X 2) but it also has far fewer sounds. I'm drawn to it mainly because I understand it's been tweaked to increase durability. I'd be playing mainly with headphones, so I'm just wondering if you've had a chance to play both, do you think the sound/action difference justifies the price jump?
Thank Very useful video. You are very confident but still little worried about the black Key’s finish.

It looks very small actually, and the standard voice l thought were a bit better for a Kawai. I read it has Hammer Action III, fully weighted keys and polyphony 255. Is this right for advanced classical piano music practice??
I must buy this pianoo
Wow, amazing piano skills! Very inspirational. Would really love to be able to get to this level of playing ability on the piano.
To any professional players, make sure that the repetition in the keys will match your needs
Eye candy 🍭
Nice, beautiful sound. I like petrof!
How did I missed this video all this time?? This comparison is just astonishing, I'd have like though a bit more of playing side by side, still interesting to hear both pianos using the same mic
Your playing is so amazing such a lovely musical approach and this piano sounds so amazing overall it’s very well balanced and sound character is so fantastic. I have listened many many upright piano including some of big name but this Petrof is something else. I love this type of sound can you please tell me the price of this piano? Thank you so much 🙏
I think this piano has a contact pickup on the back so that the sound is not spoiled by the acoustics of the room. That's why the sound of the piano is so sterile.
Here, e.g. you can hear the disruptive effect of the acoustics, but it's not that bad. ua-cam.com/video/mOamZrFKbeA/v-deo.html
Why is the sound and the video not synced ?
Very nice!
What is the name of the song starting at 02:33.. You have said it is from Bach; but which one is it?

@@MartinVanBoven Thank you... Greetings from Istanbul.
Interesting video! Yes, I believe this is the only available direct comparison with a real acoustic (magnificent!) grand. Can you do a similar comparison with the NV5S one day please? That would be very interesting!
Please ship to Bangkok for me. It's my dream piano.
Bangkok is too humid for that kind of grand pianos 😉
@@bikemike1118 We have representative here but the retail price is about 200,000 USD. Is this price same over there?
@@tongbunsing I actually cannot tell you the exact prices of Fazioli in Europe (or Germany for that matter) but I think the 212 model is considerably less expensive. The larger models …yes .. I‘d say for them the price you mentioned is about realistic
@@bikemike1118 a Colder climate brings more problems. Also, they have a new patented triple layer soundboard which is more forgiving.
@@bikemike1118A few years ago I was choosing between a Faz, Sauter and Steinway. I was quoted nearly 100k for a brand new 212, and with a near 18-month lead time - prices are very similar to a Hamburg B with perhaps a small premium. Bought Sauter in the end, wasn't enough difference in it to justify the enormous price differential.
Yesterday at the piano warehouse I tried every digital again and again and always had to go back to CA99 because I think its sound can best appreciate the sound of a real piano compared to others even the Roland 7.8k dollars one, so I paid the 5.2k. its the most expensive thing Ive ever bought🥺 Hope i will love it
